orlichiboc Sendmail is the most wideley used MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) on Linux. It is very powerful, flexible and secure. Sendmail has been around for a long time, so it is a really mature program. It implements a general internetwork mail routing facility, featuring aliasing and forwarding and automatic routing to network gateways.
