IPtables

ricvartazel alchiacelco IPtables is a Linux packet control protocol that was introduced in the Linux kernel in the 2.4 tree. It features packet filtering, ip masquarading, transparent proxying and network address translation (NAT).
IPtables was built as a replacement for IPchains, which was used in the 2.2 kernel tree.
